PR13.8 - U.S. Tax Deduction Errors

Use US Tax Deduction Errors (PR13.8) to view: - Tax Factory errors for a specific employee on the Messages tab - Messages telling you to use BSI TaxFactory to view errors - Tax deduction changes for the employee by locations entered on time records (which override the employee record location) - Tax deduction changes that occured due to a Tax Locator update You can also use this form to update Tax Locator after you have performed maintenance to fix the errors displayed on this screen. This form shows the most recent changes made to the employee--it does NOT show a history of all changes. **Process at a Glance 1. Add employees on Employee (HR11.1)or Change employee addresses on HR11.1 or Change employee work location on HR11.1 or Add time records with locations different than the HR11.1 location 2. View errors for deductions created by Tax Locator for a specific employee on this form. 3. Perform maintenance to correct errors. 4. Update tax deductions using this form or U.S. Tax Deduction Update (PR113). **Processing Effect There must employees with Tax Factory errors or changes for any information to display on this form. If you perform maintenance to correct errors and then inquire on this screen, the Messages tab states whether or not an update is needed. Also, the error messages for the corrected errors no longer appear. If the Messages tab does not indicate an update is needed or the error messages still display, you must perform further maintenance to correct the errors. **More Information You can update Tax Locator deductions for more than one employee using U.S. Tax Deduction Update (PR113). The location field at the top of the screen displays the employee record location. The location fields on the Location Changes tab diplay locations from time records. BSI Tax locator is a feature of BSI third-party software, which creates tax deduction automatically for U.S. employees.
