Infor Lawson · Landmark · GHR data archive

Lawson is still running. Here is what that costs you.

The application is retired in name only — it is still on, still patched, still in scope for every audit.

Nothing archived, nothing decommissioned, and the meter is still running.

Two-minute overview

Watch APIX retire a Lawson environment.

What the archive looks like to a user, what happens to the servers, and what your team has to do (not much).

Your three options

There are only three ways to get rid of Lawson. Two of them don't work.

Every IT leader we talk to has considered the first two. Here is why they end up on the third.

Keep a Lawson VM “just in case”
Dump tables to SQL and spreadsheets
Archive to APIX
Annual cost
$300K–$750K in licensing, hosting, DBA time, and DR
Low — until someone has to find a 2011 paystub
From $30K/yr, flat
Who can find a record
The two people who still remember Lawson
Nobody without a DBA and a week
Any authorized user, same login, in seconds
Security posture
Unsupported OS and database in scope for every pen test
Files on a share, no audit trail
SOC 2 Type 2, encrypted, read-only, in your AWS account
Audit or legal request
Boot the VM, hope it starts
Reconstruct joins by hand
Drill-downs and exports that match the original screens
Landmark / GHR history
Second VM, second license
Compound keys and effective dating are lost
Included, with the relationships intact
Ongoing IT effort
Patching, backups, renewals, forever
Someone owns a folder nobody wants
Zero. Serverless. Nothing to patch.

How it works

Three steps. Thirty days. Then you pull the plug.

We extract and validate everything

Every table, every row, every attachment and print file — Lawson S3, Landmark, and GHR. We run automated checks against your production system before anything is decommissioned. If a total does not match, we find it, not your auditors.

Weeks 1–2

We deploy APIX into your AWS account

Serverless: S3, Lambda, Athena, OpenSearch, CloudFront. Hardened with a 30-point checklist, WAF, and an independent penetration test. It lives in your cloud, under your keys.

Week 3

Your team logs in. Lawson goes dark.

SAML single sign-on with your Active Directory or Entra ID means nobody gets a new password. Users find HR, payroll, GL, AP, and supply-chain history in the same fields and drill-downs they know. Then you shut the servers down — for good.

Week 4

“The auditors don't care which server the record lives on. They care that we can produce it. With APIX, we can — in seconds.”

Questions we hear every time

Straight answers

What does APIX cost for a Lawson archive?
APIX subscriptions start at $30,000 per year, with a one-time implementation fee that is typically around $50,000 depending on the size of the Lawson footprint (modules, years of history, attachments). Most Lawson environments cost $300K–$750K per year to keep alive, so the archive usually pays for itself inside the first year.
Does APIX cover Landmark and Global HR (GHR) as well as Lawson S3?
Yes. APIX archives Infor Lawson S3 (versions 8 through 10), Landmark, and Global HR, including Talent Management, in the same archive with the same login. If you are retiring Lawson because you moved to Workday, Oracle Cloud, UKG, or Infor CloudSuite, the archive holds everything the new system did not take.
Where does the data live after Lawson is shut down?
In your own AWS account, encrypted, read-only, and audited under our SOC 2 Type 2 program. Nogalis never holds a copy of your data on its own servers. If you prefer not to run an AWS account, Nogalis can host a dedicated single-tenant deployment for you.
How long does it take?
Under 30 days for most environments. Nogalis runs the whole project: extraction, validation against your production Lawson system, deployment, SAML single sign-on, and user training. Your team's time commitment is usually under a quarter of one FTE for the duration.

Shut Lawson down this quarter.

Thirty minutes with a Nogalis engineer. We look at your Lawson and Landmark footprint, tell you exactly what the archive will contain, and set up a demo on data like yours. Pricing follows the demo.
