GL300 – General Ledger History Delete

About GL300

Run General Ledger History Delete (GL300) to delete historical journal entry transactions, comments, consolidation records, and budgets for a fiscal year. General Ledger history must be at least two years old before this program deletes it. You can delete all budgets for a year, or a range of budgets. This program creates a report showing the total number of header, transaction, and budget lines deleted. If the Archive Records is Yes, deleted records are removed from the General Ledger database and archived in a comma separated value (CSV) file as follows: For UNIX/Windows platforms: - JE Transactions and Comments are saved in file GLTRANS - Consolidations and Balances are saved in files GLAMOUNTS, GLUNITS,CUAMOUNT, GLCONSOL, GLAMOUNTSX, and CUAMOUNTX - Budgets are saved in files FBDETAIL and FBDTLHIST WARNING This program permanently deletes data. Before you run this program, back up your data according to your organization's procedures. Before you submit the report, carefully review the parameters. For System i platform: - JE Transactions and Comments are saved in file DBGLGLT - Consolidations and Balances are saved in files DBGLGAM, DBGLGLU, DBGLCAM,DBGLGCN, DBGLGAX, and DBGLCAX - Budgets are saved in files DBGLFBD and DBGLFDH WARNING This program permanently deletes data.
