About CODA

The Cash/Deferred Account History file contains CODA (Cash Or Deferred Arrangement) account balances by plan per year for each employee in a defined contribution plan. You can load account balances into this file by using BN55.1 (CODA Account Balance). You can also use BN55.1 to update this file for future additions, investment interests, and company contribution amounts. Once an employee is a participant in a defined contribution plan, PR199 (Payroll Close) updates the pre-tax and after-tax contribution fields. This file also contains a system-created life to date records for each of an employee's defined contribution benefits. The life to date record has a plan year equal to zero and is the total of all year to date records on file.
