About GL281

Run French Trial Balance (GL281) to print a report of trial balances. You can print consolidated trial balances for specific levels, accounting units, or the company as a whole. The program produces either a print file or an ETAFI interface file, named etafi. The etafi file is located in the $LAWSON/productline/work/etafi directory. The print file produces a report similar to that produced by Trial Balance (GL291), but with less detail. For each account, it lists debits and credit balances for the period, year-to-date credit and debitbalances, and the year-to-date balance (either credit or debit). Depending on thecriteria selected, it can also break down the report by level. The etafi file contains the following fields for each account: Beginning balance, total debits for fiscal period, total credits for fiscal period, balance for fiscal year reported on, and balance for previous fiscal year.
