More information: A standard letter is a letter that is sent to more than one person on aregular basis. A free-form letter is letter that is sent once to a particular employee, dependent, COBRA participant, retiree, or for a particular situation. Standard letters are defined in BN05.1 (Standard Letter); free-formletters are defined in BN85.1 (Free-Form Letter). BN285 prints free-form letters based on the letter's date and print status.You define the salutation and closing of free-form letters when you define theletter.
