About ML10.1
Use Ledger Setup (ML10.1) to define and maintain a ledger in the Multi-Book Ledger (ML) application. Ledgers let you maintain parallel sets of books in the General Ledger application. A ledger can be associated with multipleGeneral Ledger companies. A company can also be associated with multiple ledgers. **Process at a Glance 1. (This step) Define a ledger that includes all the General Ledger companies you want linked to the ledger, using Ledger Setup (ML10.1). 2. Associate the ledger with one or more ledger groups, using Ledger Group (ML11.1). 3. Define a ledger calendar for each company in your ledger, using Ledger Calendar Map (ML12.1). 4. Assign the ledger group including the ledger to any detail or posting accounts for which you want to maintain parallel ledger entries. **Processing Effect When you add the ledger, the program displays each General Ledger company's description, current fiscal year, and current period. When a calendar iscreated for the ledger and company, the date is updated to reflect the current fiscal year and period for the ledger company.
