About GMCOSTSHR

The cost share file stores a list of cost share activities that relate to a grant/project. Cost sharing refers to resources contributed or allocated by an institution to a sponsored project over and above what is funded by the sponsor. There are three types of cost sharing; Mandatory, Committed and Uncommitted. Cost share information is maintained via GM01.2 (Cost Sharing). Cost share or program income information can be established for any activity. It's not required that a GMAWARD record exist for the activity. The actual cost share activity must be a posting level activity.
