SLSEGMENT is the PL User Analysis table in Lawson Strategic Ledger (prefix SEG). It is indexed by SEGMENT (SEGSET1). It is related 1:M to MXOBJCAT, SLGROUPDTL and SLSEGVALUE. It is updated by SL00.1 and SL00.2 and referenced by DR100, IC141, IC142, IC83.1, MX10.1, MX10.2, MX20.1, MX20.2 and 15 more. The table has 6 fields, 1 index and 3 documented relations.
About SLSEGMENT
The Strategic Ledger User Analysis (SLSEGMENT) file stores user analysis information, including the user analysis name, description, data type, data size, and status defined in SL00.2 (Define User Analysis). You cannot delete a user analysis that is assigned to a user analysis group in SL01.1 (User Analysis Group).
Fields (6)
Column = COBOL field name without the SEG- prefix, hyphens → underscores. Derived fields are computed by the application and are not stored.
| Field / column | Type | Description & values | Updated by |
|---|---|---|---|
SEG-SEGMENT PKSEGMENT | Alpha 15 | The name that identifies the user analysis. A user analysis is a flexible, user-defined element, much like an accounting unit, account, or attribute, that stores transaction information you can use for reports and analysis. You can use a user analysis to track multiple elements of business data. | SL00.2 |
SEG-DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION | Alpha 30 (Lower Case) | The description of the user analysis. | SL00.2 |
SEG-DATA-TYPEDATA_TYPE | Alpha 1 | The Data Type determines the type used to define the user analysis value. Values are AlphaNumeric (both letters and numbers), Numeric (numbers only), or Date (yyyymmdd, mmddyy, or mm/dd//yy).
| SL00.2 |
SEG-SIZESIZE | Numeric 2 | The field size, or number of characters used to represent user analysis values. Alpha Numeric cannot exceed 32 characters, Numeric cannot exceed 30 characters, and Date cannot exceed 8 characters. Once values are defined for the user analysis, the field size cannot be changed. | SL00.2, SL01.1 |
SEG-VALIDATE-FLAGVALIDATE_FLAG | Alpha 1 | This validates that user analysis values defined in SL00.1 (User Analysis Values) are valid when used in SL02.1 (User Analysis Values Relation). The default is Yes, which validates values. If No, all values pass. | SL00.1, SL00.2 |
SEG-VALUE-CNTRVALUE_CNTR | Numeric 6 | — | — |
Indexes (1)
Keys marked * are descending. Every documented Lawson index is unique unless flagged Duplicates; Subset indexes carry a Where condition.
| Index | Keys | Flags | Condition | Used in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
SEGSET1 | SEGMENT | Primary | DR100, IC141, IC142, IC83.1, MX10.1, MX10.2, MX20.1, MX20.2 +21 more |
