About HR40.1
Use Employee Name in Alt Language (HR40.1) to maintain Employee Alternate Namedata. This program is used when there is a need to maintain employee names intwo languages. All employees will appear in a list on HR40.1. For any employee, the alternate name data can be added or maintained on the Alternate Language tab. To enable this alternate name feature, the touch file "EMPALTNAME" will need to be created in $LAWDIR/Productline, using the command "touch EMPALTNAME." Once this command is completed, the alternate name feature is available for use. Programs will check for the existence of this file and use it for enabling or disabling this feature.
