About AM501
Run Depreciation History Balances (AM501) to determine if beginning balance adjustments are required. AM501 compares the sum of the YTD balances in the history table to the LTD total for the asset's book. If they are equal, beginning balance records are not created for the asset. If they are not equal, a beginning balance amount is calculated. A balance record is necessaryto tie-out historical depreciation when transactions do not exist in Asset Management.
More information: You can leave both Book and Book Group fields blank, but you can enter a valuein only one of these fields. If you leave both the Book and Book Group field blank, the rebuild includes all assets assigned to all books associated with the company or company group.
