IC07.1 – Purchasing Class

About IC07.1

Use Purchasing Class (IC07.1) to optionally define major and minor purchasing classes. Use purchasing classes to further define inventory items. Purchasing classes are used extensively in the Purchase Order application, print onselected inventory reports, and can be used to access item information in IC30.1 (Item Search).

More information: You assign purchasing classes to inventory items in IC11.1 (Item Master) or IC10.2 (Item Master and Location). You can classify inventory items further by assigning minor purchasing classes to major purchasing classes. To discontinue use of a purchasing class, change its status to Inactive. A purchasing class cannot be deleted unless it is first removed from all items to which it is assigned.
