Run HL7 Practitioner and Staff Import (CX507) to build the Practitioner and Assistant files automatically with data from external systems. Before you run this form, create an HL7 file of practitioner and assistant information. In addition, before you run HL7 Practitioner and Staff Import (CX507), place the HL7 file in the path $LAWDIR/productline/interface as file CX507WK or as a user-defined file name. When you use this import procedure, the program loads practitioner and assistant data from the HL7 import file into the Case Carts Practitioner and Assistant files. For the specific names of the Case Carts case files updated by CX507, see the Case Carts filelayouts. You can build the Practitioner and Assistant files without using this interface. To build the files manually, use the practitioner setup form to add practitioner records one at a time.
