AMMETHOD

Method

The Method file stores the Lawson-defined and optional user-defined methods that asset books use to calculate depreciation, replacement cost, and insurance values. Lawson Software supplies the following standard methods: straight line; 125, 150, 175, and 200 percent declining balance; and sum of the years digits. These standard methods cannot be customized. The following kinds of methods can be user-defined: compute statements, annual percent tables, and annual and period units of production tables. Each record in this file should have an associated record defined in one of the following files: Compute, Percent Table, or Units of Production Periods.

AMM-METHOD
Element: Method
Alpha 10
Methods are used by asset books to calculate depreciation, replacement cost, and insurance values. Standard depreciation methods are predefined. Additional methods can be user-defined for the following kinds of methods: compute statements, annual percent tables, and annual and period units of production tables. Valid predefined methods are as follows: SL = Straight Line. 200DB = 200 percent declining balance. 175DB = 175 percent declining balance. 150DB = 150 percent declining balance. 125DB = 125 percent declining balance. SYD = Sum of the year's digits.
