CX15.1
CX15.1 - Burden

Use Burden (CX15.1) to add, manually, the salary or nonsalary burden codes. Burden is any cost-incurring resource required to perform a case or required to operate a healthcare business. For example, staff salary, equipment rental, capital depreciation, facility maintenance, and so on can be defined as burden. In the Lawson Human Resources application, burden consists ofsalary information defined by job codes. IMPORTANT If your facility uses HR Labor Import (CX504) to build the Burden file, do not add or change job codes on Burden (CX15.1). In such cases, add or change job code information by using only the Human Resourcesapplication. Follow this approach to ensure that the newest job code data exists in the Burden file for display in this form. Be aware that whenever you run CX504 you send job codes from the Human Resources Job Code file to the Burden file, a process that overwrites any matching job codes in the Burden file. Before you use this form to add burden codes, you must define your applicable companies, activities, and account categories before defining burden codes. Also, if you are typing certain burden code data from scratch, you must know the values to type for schedule, grade, effective date, and so on. Typically, you will know the values or be given direction from your management on what to type. A code for the system where the burden originates appears on this form, CX15.1. The code CX, for Case Carts system, appears as the burden origin if you define burden using this form. The code HR appears for codes loaded from the Human Resources application.
