Mobile healthcare technology has played a significant impact in the healthcare industry, bettering medical conditions in much needed places such as Africa. A handful of mobile applications are being used to monitor tools and knowledge bases that assist healthcare practitioners in widening their understanding of their respective fields. Access to good medical healthcare in third world countries like Africa are already difficult as it is, though with the advancement in technology, mobile devices and modern applications have improved healthcare services across the globe. Center for Technology Innovations at Brookings stated, “mobile health technology may be used to manage disease epidemics, maternal healthcare, and chronic conditions. In particular, telehealth platforms and wearable devices can better track patient health as well as the effectiveness of treatments and diagnostics.”
