The Item Group file stores the names of valid item groups. This file allows companies to share Item Master records or to keep them separate by company.

Default item create flag is needed for the creation of new item numbers when importing vendor catalogs in PO536 or manually entering price agreements in PO25. If no Item Create Flag is supplied during the creation of an agreement, this value will default. Valid values are, 1 to create the next sequential item number, 2 to assign the item number from another field, and 3 to manually input the new item number.
