Member Options

The Member Options (MBROPTIONS) file contains information about member UDAs and alias names. This information is applied to the members by the Analytic Architect system in addition to the information supplied by the data source. The information in this file comes from IA120 (Data Mart Load) for Lawson member names, and from IA12.1 (Member UDAs) and IA12.2 (Member Alias) for user-defined alias names.

The Member Object Identifier field contains a unique numeric identifier assigned to a member, which associates this record to the appropriate MEMBER file record.

This field identifies the type of record defined. Valid values are: S = Summary D = Detail

MBO-ALIAS-TABLE
Element: Alias Table
Alpha 8 (Lower Case)
The Alias Table field contains the name of the table that contains member alias names. You use the Essbase Application Manager to define alias tables. You can use the Analytic Architect system to define an alias name to associate with a member. These alias names become part of the alias table. The alias table must be defined for a specific application and data mart. This field can be left blank. All member aliases applied to the blank alias table name are associated to the default alias table defined by the data mart.

Alpha 50 (Lower Case)
The Instance Name field contains the UDA value or alias name, depending on the record type assigned in the Record Type field.

The UDA Usage field contains the value that determines how the UDA is applied to a member and its descendants. This field is not used in release 7.0.7 of the Analytic Architect system. Valid values are: Blank or spaces = Member only; Default. 1 = Children only 2 = Descendants only 3 = Member and children 4 = Member and descendants

Element: Record Status
Alpha 1
The Record Status field is used to temporarily mark a member information record as deleted so that the Analytic Architect system can remove the UDA or alias name from the member. When the UDA or alias name have been deleted, this record is deleted. Valid values are: A = Active; Default value. D = Deleted
