PA82.1 - Salary Encumbrance Inquiry

Use Salary Encumbrance Inquiry (PA82.1) to view budgeted, actual, and encumbrance salary totals. **Processing Effect The encumbrance variance is based on the following: - Budgeted Salary as entered in Position Budget (PA70.1) or Job Budget (PA71.1). The budget in effect as of the Fiscal Year End field on PA82 is selected. - Payroll actuals from the Employee Pay Distribution file (PRDISTRIB) for the 12 month period ending on the Fiscal Year End. You can limit therecords to those in a specific pay class or pay summary group - Encumbrance amounts are calculated by Salary Encumbrance Report (PA182). The variance calculation is: - Budget minus Actuals minus Encumbered = Variance. The variance calculation assumes all amounts are in the same currency.
